Where is Charles Canady and his earnest band of fellow congressional sex cops when we need him? If a president can be impeached for lying about consensual sex, what is to be done with a president who lies, spins and kills for personal retribution and greed -- and hopes for reelection...."

I remember him when he was a good Democrat. Gosh, how the Democrats here changed over when it suited them. I once shared a hospital room with his wife who was very ill. Lovely lady. He was nice then as well.

LTTE's are pretty interesting barometers of the general public's perspective on things. A year ago, this letter is circular filed as an isolated wacko's rant, but today it's becoming mainstream thinking.

I liked how he threw the "we can't sit idly by" quote right back at them. Then he tops it off with the assertion that * must not be a follower of JC. Good catch.

if the writer of the letter had not fingered osama alone for 911. as facts show, there is NO PROOF that osama planned and executed 911. nobody in the media or the public knows who did it. its the american ruling junta alone who knows who did it.

8. It was more than a blind eye to the Saudis

Much, much more and deliberate continuation of a grander scheme upon which the terrorists could have no effect. This writer is presenting part of it as scandal enough, but the whole truth is worse.

And there are, I believe, two Bushes. I don't mean necessailyclinical schizophrenia. It is just the complexity of character riven by life's problems. The one Bush is a self-satisfied, self affirming zealot who lazily accepts support and confidence as he used to accept any other privilege of the rich. The other Bush is a ruthlessly cynical pursuer of amoral self-interests irrespective of faith and values. This Bush always trumps any doubt or contradiction between the two.

I don't know how he works it out, how it plays in his mind, but it is clear- unfortunately- he is neither just a zealot or a cynic. Either one could be rationally dealt with. It is the seeming malleability and interaction of the two that leads better people to presume this as a sign of flexibility, perspective and balance- if not genius. Perhaps even a sign of intelligence.

In fact, it is a consuming selfishness of effortless entitlement with a psychopathology having no concerns for any other human. The background noise of the world beneath him is Muzak. His own family and friends give him enough sense of social connections to pretend he is not his own god, but apparently he really is loyal to none of them. Were not the entire Bush clan so DNA bound to similar behavior you would see his neglect of them more clearly.

Nor is it hedonism and laziness as much as tacit recognition of limitations he dare not stretch, responsibilities he cannot handle, for which privilege and power provides a handy escape, one of hereditary custom fiercely protected. It should be a cause of great fear why such a man would even want to be president in the first place.
