Poking Holes in the Official Story of 9/11

Citizens can choose to buy the official line on the events of Sept. 11, 2001 — or they can ask questions about holes in that story as big as the crater at Ground Zero.

Indeed, a majority of Canadians doubt the line out of Washington. A poll conducted for the non-profit inquiry (http://www.911inquiry.org) this month shows that 63 per cent of us believe the U.S. government had "prior knowledge of the plans for the events of September 11th, and failed to take appropriate action to stop them."

Whatever the explanation, Zwicker, a media critic for more than 30 years, says the U.S. press abdicated its responsibility to probe what happened and has been "complicit" in advancing the official explanation.

"If the corporate media had looked at this from the beginning, we would be living in a different world now," he insists. "(U.S. President) George W. Bush would have been impeached by now."

In a perfect world tried for treason would be more like it, don't ya think? The scale of these crimes is horrendous when we consider everything that has ensued. And the media has been complicit all the way.

2. well, here's another story the American media won't carry . . .

real journalists would have their antennae up and be nosing all around this event to see what kinds of leads they could pick up . . . but there are no real journalists left in American television, either network or cable . . . and damned few in newspapers, either . . . or in the mainstream news mags . . .

if you wonder how people can still be supporting BushCo, just look at what they're being fed as news and, more importantly, what real news they're not hearing/seeing/reading . . . a huge percentage of Americans, for example, still buy the "official" story of 9/11, lock, stock and barrel . . .

not only is the official story the LEAST likely to have occurred, but it's full of holes big enough to fly a jetliner through . . . which makes them much larger than the hole in the Pentagon wall . . .
