1. There are two types of people in the US
There are those who believe every word out of a GOP pundit and there are those who disbelieve every word out of a GOP pundit.

Unfortunately, the first group has absolutely no idea why the second group exists and would like to eliminate them.

The second group thinks the first group is stupid and/or crazy.

2. GOP pundits have no hard and fast commitment to truth as the majority of humanity might perceive it.

They say ANYTHING that will further their agenda...and virtually DARE you to challenge it.

They are all part of that group that would pee on your shoes and then insist to you that it is raining!!!

6. Indeed.
Those look like the peaks of the last two economic bubbles, inverted, to me.

7. The unemployment rate of 4.5 pct listed for Jan-2007 is bogus anyway.
People who hold low-pay, part-time jobs, but need and want full-time work, are counted as if they were full-time employees. People who no longer are eligible for unemployment benefits, even though unemployed, are not counted as unemployed, and neither are those who gave up looking for work because there was none to be found.

The unemployment value of around ten percent for Jan-2010 is understated as well.

10. Things did look good while BANKS BORROWED our way through a Bush time.
The banks created the CDS currency, and while the money flowed, people helped the banks by flipping houses if they had nothing better to do.

Then the CDS Ponzi scheme imploded, before Bush left office. Shucks. Timing!
