As victims still fight to survive, and as families mourn, we who love and support Gov. Palin feel dual pangs of sadness.

I think I speak for most of us in Palin-land when I say that the last 24 hours have been heartbreaking and maddening at the same time. First a national tragedy: a deranged shooter snuffs out the lives of six innocent people in Arizona, and gravely alters the lives of dozens of others, including a young Congresswoman and her family. Then, some in the liberal blogosphere and punditry pour salt on the wound, choosing to recklessly assign blame for this heinous act to Gov. Sarah Palin and members of the Tea Party.

As victims still fight to survive, and as families mourn, we who love and support Gov. Palin feel dual pangs of sadness.

We witness the senseless violence springing from the mind of an unstable individual and we also witness the cruel divide of politics that apparently can’t even take a day off to pray for fellow Americans.

I received a particularly maddening message on Facebook from my former boss. The essence of his strange wall post dart: See, Nicole, your Sarah Palin put Giffords in her rifle scope crosshairs. See what you Tea Baggers have wrought? What do you say now?

2. Nice pity party, Ms Coulter, but Palin OWNS this tragedy.
It was only a matter of time that someone acted on her dog whistles.

4. Gag me with a spoon.
I wonder what Palin would tweet if a liberal politician put a candidate in crosshairs and the candidate ended up shot. Or if a Muslim talked about "reloading" when discussing people who disagreed with him.

Saint Sarah will never be held to any accountablitity, though she will be the first to tweet some nonsense when the words of others affect her. I recall the "retarded" incident and how offended she was. Those words seemed to matter to her a lot.

You can't have it both ways. Words matter. Words have power and Sarah, you reap what you sow.

Tell ya right now, any rightwing nut tries to tell me those are surveyor symbols, I'm going to pop 'em right in the nose, and tell I'm just using my surveyor symbols - no violence intended.

6. "Modern liberalism"? *Modern* liberalism?
>>>>Except when 52-year-olds like my former boss behave like juveniles, it’s not cute. It’s symbolic of the rot and irresonsibility that I believe lies at the heart of modern liberalism.>>>>>

She'd be happier w. FDR?

I doubt it.

10. No sympathy here: Palin deserves a life sentence
No sympathy here. Palin deserves nothing less than a life sentence for the pain she wreaked upon the country through the Tea Party and such. I have called her the most dangerous person in the world for good reason.

If you really want to know the score behind WHY we are angry, read my op-ed.

11. A large part of the blame does lie with Palin and Limbaugh
and Angel and the others who have fomented this violence. They will do anything to whip up the mobs to sell their books and advertising, yet do not seem to understand that inciting crazy people to assassination might be viewed as reckless, irresponsible and dangerous. Just because it is not illegal to say all of these things does not make it safe to do them. These people won't voluntarily reign in their rhetoric because it makes them money and gets them power. I, however, also have free speech, and I put a lion's share of the blame directly on them.
