While attacking women's health and labor, GOP attacks net neutrality
It's like a never ending nightmare with the GOP in charge of the House. While we wait for the government to shutdown because of subsidies for women's health services, the GOP passed a bill that could lead to private control of the internet by the very providers who connect you to the internet.

As usual, the Grand Old Corporate Party believes that the best way to keep a business in check is to let the business check itself.

If Comcast decides to launch a search engine to rival Google and Yahoo, what would be stopping them from reducing the bandwidth for their rivals to their customers? NOTHING. In addition, what would stop them from charging sites like ours premiums if we want to maintain bandwidth to make the site usable for the public? NOTHING

It would take no time at all for Murdoch and Ailes to purchase a telecom company and begin the censorship of the truth in favor of his Beckian rhetoric of hatred.

1. They have accomplished more of their agenda in 6 weeks
than the Dem Congress was able to accomplish in 4 years. Continuing to vote Dem is pretty useless.

4. HAHAHAHA
Clever, but you do know what I mean, right? It is like having the former Goldman execs in charge of the regulating of the financial sector. When the criminals are in charge of the prison, things go wrong.

3. They Are Holding the Government Hostage. There is Nothing We Can Do
They can demand our total capitulation on absolutely everything as preconditions for ending the shutdown and we will eventually have no choice but to comply.
If we don't, the government stays shut-down except for "essential" functions — just the way they want it. What do they care if the troops don't get paid?

They control the media, which insulates them from any consequences for their actions. The Tee Vee will tell everybody that it's all the Democrats fault.

6. This is NO surprise.Control the message.
I'm confident the creative folks that are computer savvy can develop a workaround. They
realize how important it is to maintain open + uncensored exchange of ideas+info.
It's been a loong time since since I've depended on the TV as a credible news source. When
I discuss any issues with anyone my age I find it amazing how many of them buy into
the crap touted as news.I keep trying to tell them they are misinformed and why-many of
them look @me like I have 2 heads but sometimes it gets through.I keep trying-
