It Just Won't Die
Obama's Birth Certificate—Ramona Attorney Continues the Fight in Court
By Peter Schelden, Patch.com
A Ramona attorney will go into the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday to continue questioning whether President Barack Obama is a United States citizen, in spite of the release of the president's long-form birth certificate this week.

Gary Kreep is executive director of the nonprofit United States Justice Foundation in Ramona. He confirmed for Patch that he is due to appear in the court in Pasadena on Monday morning. He will be joined in the litigation by an attorney who is also a Mission Viejo dentist and Rancho Santa Margarita resident—Orly Taitz. Taitz says she will continue to ask the courts to decide the legitimacy of the president.

According to news reports, Taitz was fined $20,000 by a federal judge in Georgia in 2009 for pressing a lawsuit against Obama's citizenship in that state; she paid the fine, $17,000 of which came from supporters...

“I do have a census from 1960 and the only options are white, Asian or Negro,” Taitz was quoted by City News Service as saying. “I know it's not politically correct today, but in 1961 they did not write the race as African—they would write the race as Negro...”

2. If it was going to be forged, it would be expected that the
forgers would get it correct?

Also, the reason "African" was entered was because his father was not an American "white, Asian or Negro".

Obama knew it - they will not leave it alone. Ever.

Any bets?

In 1961, 'Negro' referred to American blacks. "African" referred to non-American blacks. I remember (vaguely, as a kid) discussions about Sidney Portier, where people said "He's not a Negro - he's Jamaican".

Apartheid America was confusing, and often self-contradictory, and use of "African" to distinguish from US born blacks was probably not uncommon.

Isn't there a discussion about just that in "Raisin In The Sun"? Where the daughter, dating a man from Africa, is told "he's not a Negro - he's African" or am I mis-remembering that (haven't seen it in 20+ years). Comes from the same time period.

EDIT for date typo

going to continue to beat this dead horse: Kreep! Priceless.

8. Of course it won't die
Conspiracy theories are damn near immortal, or at least as long lived as the history and events and issues related to a particular CT remain in an appreciable portion of the public conscience. These theories may weaken, their adherents may become more marginalized, but complete death of a CT is difficult to come by.

The trick is to take the position that what you believe is true until it's absolutely proven false, then establish (without admitting that you're doing so) utterly impossible standards for evidence contrary to your belief. Once you're convinced that anything which contradicts your belief is an untrustworthy product of the conspiracy itself -- lies, forged signatures, faked photos, cover-ups, fraudent research, coerced testimony, etc. -- you've got yourself an effectively impenetrable shield to keep your CT alive no matter what.

This will only end when they die off. And since evil people seem to live forever, that's going to take some time.
