If News Corp hacked the phones of 9/11 families, Fox News is finished |
|
The FBI investigation into the News Corp 9/11 hacking allegations could endanger the company's broadcast licences in the US
There are few universally sacred cows in American politics these days, but the families of the victims of 9/11 are among them – conservative pundits Ann Coulter and Glenn Beck notwithstanding.
So with the bombshell that News of the World reporters may have sought not only to hack into their cell phone records and voice mails but to bribe a former NYPD officer to help, the US government finally got engaged in doing more than posturing.
Of course, a fair bit of posturing – some of it deserved – was clearly going to be the end result of the News Corp scandal here, even if the scandal itself remained confined to British soil. After all, News Corp is the parent company of the politically-divisive Fox News, and any whiff of scandal was going to be red meat for an exhausted and increasingly demoralised Democratic base in need of something else to think about.

9/11 victims and their families are off limits, except to Ann Coulter who said that the Jersey Girls were "reveling in their husband's deaths".

4. All we have right now is someone asked and was turned down. |

THAT'S IT. I'm glad we are delaying things until the Brits finish turning over their rocks.
Our big problem will be Obama's refusal to investigate anything concerning the Bush family. Because my pittance says that's where the red meat is. It coincides with the period of massive privacy invasion in Britain.
There is a loony tweeter, @exnotwjourno2, Marie X, who is making me nuts with random mentions of Madeleine McCann and the investigation of David Kelly. Also says Rebekah Brooks had a 3-year affair with Piers Morgan which doesn't seem relevant to anything.
I'm not sure Parliament WANTS to know how deep and dirty this is.

5. Why would Beck and Coulter diss 9/11 families? |

Self-serving orders from above.

has unfortunately scared even those(maybe especially those!) he benefits. To pivot his sprawling bribery and blackmail Empire away from his "friends" the helpless little guy victims will do nicely to discipline the situation.
I hope it gets out of control entirely though and thanks to it being sloppy journalism instead of state run espionage that may happen whatever the bravado here and abroad in championing the symbolic outrages against commoner victims.
Eat Germany provides a good example of containing a society ruining outpouring of betrayals and secrets when the Stazi files were destroyed instead of used. Hoover's files were more sloppily disposed of or edited according to the desires of the bureaucratic hands they first passed through. A huge, leaky, semi-gangster global news empire? Good luck.
Maybe we can get mass resignations and closures of major MSM players and government puppets. Call it Global Meltdown: the Political Collapse.

Fox "News" isn't going anywhere unless someone McVeigh's them. The 1200 US radio stations that share their fascist bent will protect them.
