Now that Tenet's gone, fix CIA (Denver Post atacks The Chimp)

A scathing report on the CIA's failure in Iraq underscores the need for swift reform in the nation's most important spy agency.

The administration issued dire warnings this week that Osama bin Laden is preparing another attack, and you'd think that intelligence reform would be an urgent item at the top of the White House agenda.

Apparently it's not. As of today, the CIA is without a director.

1. CIA 'reform'

the CIA should be disbanded, & the spooks & other payroll obliged to find jobs, soldier-of-fortuning, etc. OR, they could all be inducted into the Army, & assigned to removing the thousands of land mines in Aghanistan, walking ahead of vehicles in Iraq, watching for roadside bombs.

this agency was formed right after WWII, & Alan Dulles!!! put in charge. since then it has served as a handy shelf to sit on while awaiting Destiny's call. Have we forgotten, Bush 41 was head of it for a time???

Then there are the clever ploys like Tenet leaving just before the Agency gets to be the target, 'who got us into Iraq'? One supposes he will enjoy the rest of the summer 'with his family.'

And no one mentions the peculiar drowning of Colby after he left as head of the Agency. Well, o.k. so we were all wondering about Vince Foster.

The CIA should either be disbanded or moved to a place with no phones, no budget, etc.
