McCain questioned by bagger about UN plan to "take our farms"!
McCain faces angry crowd at Gilbert town-hall meeting by Parker Leavitt
(AZcentral.com, August 9, 2011)

U.S. Sen. John McCain's town-hall meeting Monday in Gilbert (AZ) broke down into a shouting match at times as "tea-party" activists directed their anger and frustration toward the senator over issues ranging from his characterization of them as "hobbits" to the nation's sagging economy. At one point during McCain's first town hall since last fall, a heated verbal exchange between two men prompted the senator to call for "a modicum of courtesy" and sent town officials scurrying for more security.

(snip)

Tea-party activists called McCain "out of touch" when the senator said he didn't know about United Nations "Agenda 21". One man described the initiative as a "takeover of the United States of America by taking over our farms."

"First our firearms, then our farms," another man added.

McCain said no Congress would allow that to happen, but that didn't satisfy several in the room who subscribed to the theory.

To be fair, the UN has always been known for its emphasis on farming. And for "taking over" sovereign nations.

Honestly, if right-wing extremists didn't have crippling fear, just what WOULD they have?

2. "just what WOULD they have?"
Heads containing a near perfect vacuum, I suspect. If it isn't fed to them, they can't think it.

6. The ignorance is frightening.
I know we also have some crazy conspiracy theorists on our side but I don't think they're as numerous or loud, and few if any of them have gotten elected.

I'm happy to see at least some Republicans, like McCain, standing up to them.

7. First our firearms, then our farms
and then our Frams! Without oil and air filters, the nation will grind to a standstill.

10. They paint handicapped parking spots blue, too...
so when they invade the US, they have all the best parking spots!!!

(I actually read this in a novel once, a conspiracy theory put forth by a flaming paranoid idiot. I had no idea that a few years later it would be something some foll might take seriously!)

16. Did a few mins investigation on YT and came across this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiDKWy_oSMw&feature=related

These people do not realize that its for their own good. Agenda 21 would create a cleaner, safe and less toxic environment for all of us. But some selfish farmers do ot know that. The land that would be needed for the buffer zone is not going to anybodies hands. Morons
