The following article appeared in the local paper today.

Governor: Library hosted inappropriate content

Gov. Mike Rounds on Monday shut down an entire section of information for teenagers on the South Dakota State Library Web site.

The material was removed days after a link to Planned Parenthood was removed from the State Library's site.

in place of Planned Parenthood. Gee...let me see, which is a greater detriment to the welfare of children. Speaking of inaccuracy, perhaps the Bishop would like to be sure that the library does not connect to Diocesan web sites. Can't be too careful. We're all one or two falsehoods away from hell.

Censorship. Wonder what happened to the people who are "no longer working" for the library system. Makes it sound as though you can not only lose your soul to Planned Parenthood but your job as well.

Man, thank God for these seemingly celibate, never raised a teen ager, guardians of justice.

Can you say stereotype? You'd never get away with stereotyping blacks, but Catholics are fair game.

8. I didn't mean for my observation

in post #1 to appear anti-Catholic but rather to point out what can happen when church and state are not separate. I should have been more clear on that. I don't mind that my state's governor is Catholic. I do mind if he conducts state business as directed by the Bishop. Sorry if I offended you.
