So Lord Butler's report reveals that there were no WMD (weapons of mass destruction). How many people were required, together with the time and money, to discover this Earth shattering information?
And of course, like George Bush, Tony Blair was not to blame for all of this, it was the fault of "others". After all, they are only the leaders of their country, we can't expect them to be blamed when they make mistakes. However, they will gladly accept responsibility for decisions that are successful! Perhaps Saddam Hussein should hire the people who do these reports to defend him, he might actually have a chance of winning his freedom?
. . .
The whole thing is a disgrace! Iraq should not have been invaded, people should not be profiting from it and a lot of people should be fired for being involved in creating the war. But all we see are more lies and reports that do nothing more than shift the blame into other areas. When is everyone going to stop passing the buck?
What is perhaps more amazing, is the support that the two B's seem to be maintaining in the poll's. Are the potential voters completely blind to what is happening or are the polls fixed? It would not surprise us at all if Bush wins a second term in office (with another narrow margin) or that Blair has the same success when his turn comes. Maybe they have help from Putin on how to win an election?
Maybe we will wake up soon and find that this was all just a terrible nightmare?
