LTTE today's South Bend Trib: "Saddam, Clinton share qualities" |
|
AACCKKKK!!! Is this one of the new "talking points"? The on-line edition isn't updated yet, but here it is (Mods, if there is a problem with posting a letter in its entirety, I will edit)
It was weird! I knew it was Saddam Hussein on the TV, but in my head I kept hearing and seeing William Jefferson Clinton. The arrogance, the attitude, the excuses! Both of these men refuse to take responsibility for their own actions. "Because they could" they used their power for evil. After the fact, the degree isn't the point so much as the striking similarities of mindsets. It seems like mommies and grannies in Iraq can raise dysfunctional kids too.
I pray that Iraq's new government will not become so ensnarled in American-style legalese as to make void its just reinstated death penalty. Saddam needs to join his sons - quickly removed as a rallying point for his equally evil followers.
America's criminal justice system has allowed liberal thinking to undermine true justice. People who make bad choices must know the price they will certainly pay for their crimes. Civilized nations are always safer when leaders who do evil "because they can" are removed permanently.
God bless President Bush. God bless America. God bless Iraq
Dorothy J. Elkins Mishawaka
Where do you even begin with someone like this? She thinks we are safer now that "evil Bill Clinton" is out of office? Hmm... failure to take responsibility for one's actions, arrogance and excuses... sounds more like * to me. Time to go work on a response.

Stopping genocide in Kosovo and Bosnia, creating a budget surplus, creating millions of jobs, stopping the Milennium Bombing, etc. Those sound like pretty evil acts. Mr. Clinton should be pilloried in the town square and his name stricken from the list of Presidents along with both Roosevelts, Johnson, Kennedy, Lincoln and Jefferson.

2. Somebody needs to tell this twat... |
|
that Iraq's new government is already ensnarled in American legalese since their "president" is a CIA stooge with a bounty on his head. They won't rest until he's dead.
How's that Kool-Aid, Dorothy? FSC

3. Has * taken any responsibility for anything? |
|
Hell no. Nor has he brought it to bear on any of his cronies. 9/11 was failure. No one was fired. Iraq is a failure. No firings (one resignation). CIA agent outed. No firings. Torture at Abu Gahraib. Rummy is doing a "suburb" job.
Clinton hurt only himself with is mistakes. Chimpy McFlightsuit has bankrupted this country both fiscally and morally. "Because he could."
I can't believe they would print this drivel. Fuck these people.

5. We need a majority -- we don't need unanimous approval. |

6. What? That they were both Federal employees at one point? |

It still amazes me that wingnuts like Dorothy have no idea Hussein was on CIA payroll, or that he was best of friends with Raygun and the Bushs; in other words, we helped create him. If this is what passes for valid argument on the right, we're in a lot more trouble than I thought.
Apparently it's not only the neocons, though, that use projection in making their arguments. Note that the qualities Dorothy attributes to Hussein and Clinton more appropriately describe Bush.
There is no point in arguing with a person like this; she's obviously beyond help. I've tried arguing with wingnuts and when I threw out a bunch of facts at them about the way things really work in the world, most of the time all they can come back with is personal insults. It's really not worth it.
