1. I got extended cable for 2 months...so I channel surf. Miller's program |
|
lasted 4 minutes on my screen because I wanted to see what all the brouhaha about him was here in DU... I could not believe how bad he is... not funny but mean spirited and really, really stupid. He did not have the monkey when I fell on that channel... but I bet the money would not even be there unless they punished him with something worse.

5. It is sad, and painful. |

I'm focusing on Miller's performance here, not his politics. I don't know if Miller writes all of his own material or not, but he does need help, lots of it. Paying the audience was no solution, and must have been very humiliating to Miller. I don't know what his contractual obligations are, but it would make more sense for Miller to walk away from the show and reconceptualize.
What bothers me the most is the waste of airtime. There are so many other (virtually unknown) political writers, satirists, filmmakers, and performers encompassing the full political spectrum. Why not give them some exposure? Why not mix it up a bit?
Well, at least the chimp (the real one, not Bush) has kept his personal integrity.
