DU SWLs- Rob Greenes "Insight" on Radio Nederland
I just heard this about an hour ago, and found it published on RNWs website. Awesome!
Excerpt:
"Dick Cheney's disgraceful pack of lies and innuendo went so far beyond the bounds of decency and focused so exclusively on the need for war and military might that it turned the convention into the closest thing to a Nuremberg rally the modern world has known."

Also check out the fascinating Ham radio "Hurricane Watch Net" on 20 meters 14.325 Mhz USB for real-time reports on Frances' landfall. Wow

1. On Thursday night
I heard them do a report in their news section on a study just done by one of the largest Nettherlands Invenstment banks, that goes back to 1928, showing how the stock market always has done considerably better under Democratic Presidents, and recommended supporting the democratic candidate in order to improve their own business. I went bak to try to locate the article on the Radio Nettherlands web site the next day, but couldnt find it. If anyone is more familiar with the Radio Nederlands site, it might be a good idea to locate that news item and post it here. It came out quite strongly on supporting Democratic candidates if you are an investor.

Will tune in when I go to bed.

Isn't Radio Netherlands WONDERFUL????? I get an email schedule every week...

And yesterday morning, the coverage of the Russian hostage situation was awesome!!

Ben---is Radio Havana broadcasting or did it get stopped by Hurricane Charley?? I haven't been able to get anything from RH since then!! And I was listening everyday....that's where I found out about the Watch Net...from Arnie Coro on DXers Unlimited.

3. RHC
Yeah, they got hammered pretty good by Charlie- but I think I just heard tonight (on WBCQ) that they are back on air on limited freqs and low power until they get repairs made. I haven't heard them up here in Michigan, but Gulf area listeners may be able to pick them up. RNW is KEWL- Great website too that I never saw before tonight.
World band radio RULES!

And the "World at 6" on CBC/Radio Canada is a great half hour of news.

My absolute favorite news show is "Talking Point"on the BBC on Sunday AM (early). I love hearing people from all over the world calling in...
They had a special edition today on the Russian hostage situation....
