My hometown newspaper printed this editorial today. The writer gets plenty of hate mail, but I think he's doing a great job.

Bush didn't do Iraq 'hard work'

In his first debate with challenger John Kerry last week, President Bush repeatedly said that fighting the international war against terrorism is "hard work." Yet it is increasingly clear that Bush did not do the necessary hard work of determining where real threats to this nation's security came from and how to respond most effectively to them.

The latest evidence of this comes from the final report of the Iraq Survey Group, released Wednesday, and its top arms inspector, Charles Duelfer, in testimony on Capitol Hill.

The Iraq Survey Group report undercuts the president's view. Consider the report's conclusions on the weapons programs the Bush administration claimed Saddam Hussein had to justify last year's invasion of Iraq:
