Rescue news hidden

http://www.news-journalonline.com/03LettersIndex.htm

Re "President aids barred bodyguard," article, Nov. 21:

How predictable that the news of President George Bush's rescue of his
lead Secret Service agent from Chilean security officers was buried in
a one-column "In Brief" snippet on Page 16A on Nov. 21!

I can only hope that at least some News-Journal readers were fortunate
enough to see the headlines and six to eight sequential photos
reported on Drudge Report via their personal computers.

The full story showed President Bush looking back with puzzled
expression, then leaving the party of dignitaries -- alone -- and
walking back to where his agent was being detained. Reaching through
the crowd, over shoulders, he grabbed his agent, reportedly saying,
"He's coming with me" and escorted him back to the official building.

When was the last time we had a president with that kind of fortitude?

I fully understand News-Journal sentiments are decidedly liberal and
Democratic, but that shouldn't affect news value of happenings that
every American has the right to know.

I'm prouder than ever of the caliber of man we have in our Oval
Office. I believe he embodies the kind of pioneer spirit and bravery
of our forefathers who created our America.

I ask The News-Journal please to stop hiding the positive events that
occur.

SONYA R. GORDON, Ormond Beach

Thankful for rescue

Re "President aids barred bodyguard," article, Nov. 21:

How fortunate we are that President George W. Bush won re-election.
But for his prompt intervention, who would have rescued our Secret
Service agent in Santiago, Chile?

ADISON MARTIN, Orange City

3. The Bush News Network, formally known as CNN
Portrayed bush as some kind of big brave hero by turning around, taking two steps back and saying, "he's with me" when bush noticed his guard dog had lagged behind.

2. In their minds...
He is Rambo.

When you make someone a magical figure, you only set yourself up for dissapointment by that person. But then, abused children do that. Lots.

4. This little photo op really should be investigated
Because #1 it was either a set up, or #2 the Secret Service are the most incompetent bunch of idiots on the planet. Pick one. If #1 Bush should be charged with abuse of power. Using SS agents in such a manner is much worse then getting a blow job, no matter where it was.

12. By gosh, you're probably right! Hadn't thought of it.
Of COURSE the cameras were right there (an odd place for them to be filming, wasn't it?)

Chris Matthews fairly fainted with bliss as he dithered about the incomparable maleness Bush exhibited, his devil-may-care ASSURANCE.

Chris, and others like him are more than willing to look the other way while this perfectly protected piece of crap gleefully chooses to send hundreds and hundreds of Americans and over 100,000 Iraqi citizens to their needless, bloody, sorrowful, lonely deaths, but can bearly control themselves combing over the smallest details of their public, planned, utterly staged, probably rehearsed appearances among the safest people in the world.

It WOULD make a maggot gag.

10. The ignorance in Ormond Beach is beyond belief
It's a snotty low brow cultural void with a Wal-Mart and a cracker barrel.
