Let's worry about election counts here

Reporter Editor:

I've been watching coverage on

C-Span 2 about statements by U.S. monitors regarding the Ukrainian
election as presented by Radio Free Europe, including commentary
regarding biased Ukraine media coverage of their election and the many
incidents of fraud and voter intimidation experienced there.

Stolen votes in a stolen election. It seems U.S. Secretary of State
Colin Powell and U.S. Senator Richard Lugar are quite convinced, and
have gone on record.

It is ludicrous to hear these testimonial statements given by American
officials and American monitors and to hear their well-founded concern
for the lack of valid results in the Ukraine elections - on C-Span.

But here in the United States our own mainstream media do not cover
the thousands of filed reports of faulty counts by GEMS tabulator, of
countless problems with touch-screen machines, of voter fraud and
voter intimidation in our own fraught-filled presidential election
2004.

There are far too many questions that have not been answered about our
own election results, most especially regarding those votes that were
cast in the battleground states. How very ironic.

What's wrong with this picture?
