3. It might be but you won't get many reading a link only post....
Just a gentle nudging, BamaBecky-- posting only a link without taking the time to cut and paste a few illustrative paragraphs usually results in a post that won't get read.

5. it's time to take the bastards on . . . on OUR terms . . .
before their power and control is so great that we'll be unable to . . . I found this paragraph of particular interest because it supports what I've been saying lately about Ending Corporate Governance . . .

Heads up and pay attention: the Department of Homeland Security was created to defend this government from the citizens of the United States because they fear we will find out and we will rise up and cast them from power. It does not defend this nation, you, your family, friends, or loved ones. It defends only the government not from Al Qaeda but from us. They know when Americans figure this out, Americans are going to be way past livid and heads in Washington, DC, are going to roll and butts are going to prison.

that time has come . . . time to start engaging the REAL enemy in the REAL battle, before it's too late . . . in additon to being experts at lying and stealing, Republicans are particulary adept at deflecting . . . they nurture and facilitate the phoney left/right dichotomy with bombast about peripheral issues to keep us at each others throats and prevent us from confronting the REAL issues . . . the REAL battle is up/down, not left/right . . . it's between the the controlling elite (and their Homeland Security army) and the rest of us, the people . . . foremost among these REAL issues is Ending Corporate Governance . . .

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=2778474&mesg_id=2778474

Ending Corporate Governance is an issue actually based in reality and truth . . . truth these days means nothing to Republicans, and is meaning less and less to Democrats as well . . . that's because money trumps truth, and big money trumps truth convincingly . . . multinational corporations have unimaginable sums of big money with which to buy their influence, and both parties are only too happy to accept it . . . and then, in defiance of both reality and truth, vote the way their corporate sponsors instruct the to -- against corporate regulation, against environmental protection, against consumer protection, against progressive taxation, against peace, etc. . . and for things like war, outsourcing, privacy invasions, the New Freedom Initiative, curtailing civil liberties, and unauditable elections . . .

Ending Corporate Governance is THE issue that both supersedes and encompasses all others . . . it's the issue that brings working people, both right and left, together to take on and reform the corporate controlled monster our government has become . . . the commonalities among working people are far, far greater than our left/right differences . . . all of us are suffering from BushCo's takeover, and all of us will suffer considerably more in the next four years . . . unless we join together to expose them and, ultimately, get rid of them . . .

Ending Corporate Governance should be adopted as the organizing framework for the emerging populist consensus in this country . . . until we start focusing on restoring citizen authority over both corporations AND our government, we're just engaging in the mental masturbation of issues like gay marriage, abortion, and prayer in schools . . .
