Let the Liberals Whine!
Edited on Fri Dec-17-04 12:13 AM by Eric J in MN
Letter in Dec. 17, 2004 Minneapolis Star Tribune

http://www.startribune.com/stories/563/5140967-2.html

Let the liberals whine. The results of President Bush's policies speak louder than their complaints.

We're having another good year with the war in Iraq against Osama bin Laden. Our soldiers are learning to appreciate what they've got, armor-wise.

And speaking of appreciation, 2004 produced a record number of new millionaires.

Finally, Social Security, that albatross rung round our necks by the socialist Franklin D. Roosevelt, is about to be fixed -- handed over to Wall Street.

I've got a gut feeling President Bush's gut feeling about this one is right.

Patrick Kelly, Minneapolis.

He's being sarcastic.

2. Ah, where to begin?
OBL had nothing to do with Iraq.

See www.icasualties.org for the real story on our attack on Iraq.

Here's my reply before the edit to the OP.

"the war in Iraq against Osama bin Laden"? What a fucking moran.

Oh, right, that's Shrub's base. Morans, psychos, and fundies (or am I being redundant?)

Shrub's policies have also resulted in a record number of American children living in poverty.

US is forced to abandon hunt for bin Laden

...Washington has downgraded its efforts to catch the al-Qa'eda leader in Afghanistan, from where he supervised the September 11 attacks, because it has become convinced that he is hiding in Pakistan's virtually lawless Tribal Areas, which hug the 1,200-mile frontier.

Islamabad refuses to permit cross-border pursuits by US special forces based in Afghanistan's mountainous frontier regions, agency officials told the New York Times.

Are you planning to submit a rebuttal LTTE Eric? Please do.

4. No, it's a sarcastic letter.
A real conservative wouldn't have written that the troops are learning to appreciate what they've got, armor-wise.

5. I'm sure it's sarcastic.
A real conservative would have written that he's glad he'll get to invest his Social Security, not that Social Security is being "handed over to Wall Street."
