What, no Herbert link? -- "Fiddling as Iraq Burns". |

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/12/17/opinion/17herbert.html?pagewanted=print&position="The White House seems to have slipped the bonds of simple denial and escaped into the disturbing realm of utter delusion." "The president may actually believe that this crowd is the best and brightest America has to offer. Which is disturbing." Classic stuff.

if you are able to forget our service people are dying for a guy who likes to tip at windmills and slaughter innocents. Those he doesn't slaughter he leaves in prisons to be abused.
How did we get this far from reality? Never did I think I would one day say, "My President is a War Criminal."

"Thousands upon thousands have died in this unnecessary and incompetently conducted war, yet here was the president handing out medals as if some kind of triumph had been achieved. If these guys could get the highest civilian award, what honor is left for someone who actually does a good job?"
Herbert nails it. Another case of * bad judgment. Loyalty trumps competency.
