This privately scares many Republican business leaders. But very few are speaking out, either because they don't want to burn bridges to the White House or because they are too pleased with their tax cuts. <snip>

The fiscal conservatives in Congress are all cowering under their desks, hoping Delay won't withdraw RNC funding from them in their next reelection campaign.

3. I've Been Wondering For Some Time

GOPeople are willing to sacrifice the concept of economic conservatism in the name of party loyalty ... in a heartbeat.

Of course the story was different when the Dems were blowing the budget. They were deficit hawks compared to this bunch of borrow and spend Republicans we suffer today.
