Can already feel the vacuum in my regular Friday night PBS news marathon. Brancaccio is ok, but he ain't no Moyers. Moyers really is an icon. Understand the Corporation of Public Broadcasting Board is being infiltrated by some conservatives? NOW cut to a half hour and Tucker Carlson coming on Friday evenings. Uh-oh.

I discovered Moyers through his work with mythologist Joseph Campbell and became a fan ever since. His series on the Genesis book of the Bible, Healing and the Mind and poetry continue to be some of my all-time favorite television.
He is a fair, bright man and I will miss him greatly
