Election protest shows why Dems don't count - Mark Steyn
Thought for the day, from a gloomy party member on the Democratic Underground Web site: ''Reality sucks. That's the problem. We want another reality.''

A Democrat chum said to me on Thursday, oh, well, they're just doing this to toss a bone to the base. But they're running out of bones to toss, and the base needs a reality check, not more pandering. One reason why the party has shriveled away to Greater New England plus the ''minority neighborhoods'' of a few cities is that it's all fringe, and no mainstream. The base is out of control; the kooks still holding their post-election vigil outside one of John Kerry's mansions sound no loopier than the big-time senators. The party has no urge to move on from moveon.org.

1. What a dumbass...
Fortunately, once the Rapture comes and takes all of these turnips out of the picture, we won't have to listen to them anymore.

2. Apologies from Canada
for inflicting this smug, ignorant POS on our neighbours to the south. He pretty much ran out his string up here and headed for greener pastures. Feel free to push him forther to the right--perhaps into the deeper, more shark-infested areas of the Atlantic.

3. This moran can't keep his own argument straight
I've voted on paper ballots all my life and reckon all these American innovations -- levers, punch cards, touch screen -- are a lot of flim-flam. I would be all in favor of letting the head of Bangladesh's electoral commission design a uniform federal ballot for U.S. elections. But that's not the issue here. What happens on Election Day is that the Democrats lose and then decide it was because of ''unusually long lines'' in ''minority neighborhoods.''

4. And we listen to this Neocon, why?
He's a propagandist. That's the thing -- people have to realize this column is intended to ridicule, divide and undermine the Democrats. It's not "analyis," and it's not unbiased commentary. It's not even intelligent biased commentary.

He doesn't want a viable "second party," and he sure as hell doesn't hope the "media starts investigating Napoleons," because then, the entire Republican Delusion would come to a crashing halt.

I'm not worried about this guy. He's a second-rate, piss-poor writer, and an obvious propagandist. Looks like a Murdoch protoge, too.

5. He's another media whore,
the SUN-TIMES is a piece of shit, and has been for a number of years now.

The rag presents us with yet another anti-American who thinks demanding a secure and transparent voting process is "fringe".

And what's with using "Democrat" when "Democratic" is called for? Grammar at the Sun-Times has disappeared along with its journalistic standards.

Chicagoans should stick with the Chicago Tribune, they've managed to hang on to some standards. (Yes, I know they're "Republican".)

DU sure is getting alot of attention, isn't it?
