Shushing Homeland
Security is one thing, but how about this from the Department of Homeland Security? The agency has instructed employees to ignore, in some cases, court orders to disclose information. The agency says that an employee who gets a court order should seek a delay. And if he or she is unsuccessful and the court persists, the employee "shall respectfully decline to comply with the demand."

1. Excuse me? Direct violation of a court order is a criminal offense.

4. This is good in-a-way
This will force the Judicial Branch to take on the Administration.

As the Hulk might say, "It's balancing Time!"

7. Yes it would be.

But it would be hard, I mean almost impossible, for Bush Loyalists in the Judicial Branch to overturn federal law that is so set in stone like what happens to people who ignore a court order.

I also think are more judges that have ethical and moral convictions, whom outnumber the Bush whores in the Judical Branch.

9. LINK TO CONTEXT FOR THAT
BRANCACCIO: I suppose, though, a citizen who really wanted to get tough and get a hold of that information could possibly convince a court to order the government to disclose certain bits of information.

SCHMITT: Not actually. This administration has made a new national pastime out of fighting in the courts — battles to keep information secret.

In fact, there's one agency, the Department of Homeland Security, which actually issued regulations which say that in certain circumstances if a court orders them to release information their employees are instructed to ignore the court order.
