Nobody's talking about lies anymore OR 911....
For all the evidence that's been provided about the administration's hoax, there's no momentum for addressing it. Instead we are seeing Cheney and Rice spin, Bush traveling and making speeches, and the media moving on to other topics.

Have we lost already?

Don't worry, this story is not over by a long shot.

3. Agreed.
I have a suspicion that they might be holding back the WMD until they really need them, but its starting to look like they might really need them soon.

4. But they keep on doing it.... and people do not call them on it
I am waiting for the press to finally wake up and make the connection between Bush bad news and "terrah..Terrah..Terrah"

2. It's not going away
The press corp drilled Scotty-Boy on Saudi Arabia and the redacted pages. He was on the ropes.

5. Where are you looking?
Everyone is still talking about the lie machine.
The * administration is spinning harder than ever, and lying even more maladroitly than before.

This search for Saddam will really backfire if Al Qaida attacks again.
It will be Saddam bin Forgotten then, until the serious Iraqi uprising, which I predict will begin with the Shiites handing over Saddam, and demanding the US out of Iraq at once.

7. personally, i don't bother to repeat the obvious
While you are correct, and i have spent countless hours writing about and concerned with those things... i'm tired of that... the media wave has moved on, and we cannot win by swimming upstream.

We have won already. The BFEE has made a fatal error on invading iraq... and the vietnam-like horror of daily US casualties will grind bush out of office no matter what funds he spends to lie otherwise. I'm hoping the worlds best media consultants have prepared already a series of devastating commercials to crush bush during the coming election... remember viet nam... the democrats had their johnson and macnamara... and the repukes have their bush and rumsfuck. We can even see the faces blurring together in a montage... "i am not a crook" as bush's face flashes on top of nixon's... he's dead meat. Don't be discouraged by what is not discussed... crush them in the jaws of their own errors in judgement.

16. Very good observation
Impeachment is not a possibility given the make up of congress.

IraqNam will do them in.

9. I, for one, am still talking about it
and as long as they're still printing my letters, I guess other people are reading them. It's not CNN, but it's something!

http://www.nola.com/news/t-p/letterstoeditor/index.ssf?/base/news-1/105937002014800.xml

There was a boxed section with a picture and 4 letters about the war and the lies in yesterday's paper.

12. Great work
I'm inspired to do the same locally. I think I will. I have also volunteered to start working on Nancy Skinner's senate campaign.

From anger to activism...who knows what's next?

14. excellent!
it can't hurt to try.

I actually learned a lot by researching for that letter. So even if they hadn't published it, something productive would have come out of it anyway.

Good luck!

13. Maybe, maybe not
The DLC says not to talk about it because they're basically cowards. The Deanies won't let the candidates talk about it without bashing them. The Republicans sure as hell don't want to talk about it.

So I guess that leaves only Howard Dean to bring down Bush all by himself. Yeah... that'll work.

15. I am always amazed by how the Junta gets away with everything
Take the massive censoring of the 9/11 report.
Bush removed pieces regarding possible connections with Saudi Arabia, but he is not criticized.
Instead, he is played off as a hardline, no nonsense leader.
I don't get it.
What the fuck is wrong with this country?
Are some Americans really that damn stupid?

Definately yes.
