In the next segment, SHARPTON said that if it were the CLINTON Administration, there would be a frenzy for impeachment.

2. It's an Unthinking Presidency

Let's just suppose for a minute that Matthews is right, that Bush unthinkingly went along with the plan. How does that, in any way, exonerate Bush? It would indicate to me that world-changing decisions are being made by a puppet with no facility for critical thinking, someone who acts purely on emotions. In Matthews' eyes, is this somehow preferable to Bush knowing he's lying?

Also, when "cowboy charm" starts getting people killed on a daily basis, it's time to shelve said cowboy charm, shut the hell up, and do something useful.

We've all made a terrible mistake calling him stupid, a puppet, slacker, etc. While he certainly is being led by those under him, he is not doing it without his full cooperation. If the man is not thinking about the information that takes a country into war, then the man should not be in the White House at all.
