UN Overview Of Our 2004 Election? |
|
Edited on Mon Jan-12-04 07:50 PM by ThomWV
I was wondering, how would the citizens of this country, without the sanction of our Government (because that would never happen), request of the United Nations that they monitor the 2004 election in order to block fraud.
I know nothing about this process other than that they have done it for other 3rd world nations that had a track record of corrupt elections. If they could do it somewhere else they can do it here and I for one would like an international body to be granted overview of the process and should they come up with a negative report ..... well, we'll cross that bridge when ....

1. Can't be done; shouldn't be done. |

We're Americans, damn it. If we can't monitor our own elections, well, I still don't want Kofi to do it.

Well, I think we proved with the last election that we are incapable of forcing an honest election in this country.

Got a link for that? My understanding was that the UN has said they cannot monitor our elections because we do not meet even their basic requirements for insuring a fair election (ballot consistency, etc.).
