1. Why are you reading it? |
|
Did you buy it? You're braver than I.
This is one place where Amazon's policy of selling used books can be useful. If you buy it used, the authors make no money on the sale.
BTW, the Suskind book is out today and Amazon is already selling used copies. This is why authors hate, hate, hate Amazon. I do no business with them whatsoever.

Although, after that start, I'm wondering how much antacid it will take to finish the book.

4. just 2 quick points on the furm/perle book |
|
perle says the US should get out of the UN because the UN was designed to deal with states invading international borders, and not terrorism.
point one: the only state that has consistantly violated international boarders, or directly backed states who violate international borders, is the US.
point two: the reason that the UN charter is not equiped to handle terrorism from a legal stand point is because the US vetoed the UN resolution on terrorism in the 80's under regan.
if people are not aware of this veto, they might begin to think perle is credible
this is not an in depth annalisis, just off the top of my head, good luck with the book.

9. I Heard Them on Charlie Rose |
|
and to his credit, Rose got increasingly incredulous and disturbed at the necocon line that Perle and Frum were holding to. I have rarely seen him get exasperated like that.
