I can't stomach "Crossfire" any longer............. |
|
all the hosts make me gag now. I don't think any of them care about democracy. It's all about THEM.

5. I really miss Bill Press too, a voice of sanity in the midst of |
|
it all. Too bad his show on MSNBC got cancelled too.

6. I'm with you. The show has become disgusting. |
|
I can't stand the way they are joining the republicans discounting Dean. I now hope Dean stomps the rest of the field so all these media talking head corporate sluts can eat their words tomorrow.

14. Today's Crossfire was disgusting |
|
Since when is it okay for a media democrat to bash one of our candidates? They should be supporting all democratic candidates.

but the only reason I'm watching it is because C-SPAN's coverage hasn't started yet of the Caucuses.

9. Why can't someone tell Tucker to just shut up for one time.... |
|
His interrupting and talking over prevents anyone else from saying anything, even Carville and Begala. No one can understand any point that they make...Just shut up for one minute, OK Tucker?

I loved Begala's comments about the Superbowl 'weiner' commercials today. I was at the gym and laughed out loud.

15. It's about the only forum where you can hear "our" side |
|
from Begala and Carville. I agree that Tucker and Novak are a pukefest but Paul and James regularly tell it like it is over and over again and most of the time it's the only part of the day in which I hear a liberal view on the media.
It's not perfect but it's something. Lately, too, the audiences seem to always be applauding Paul and James and rarely any for Novak and Tucker.

The Washington Journal segment from Jan 14 has Jim Fallows. He is great every time and in every forum. Also The New America Foundation and the Atlantic Monthly hosted a day long series of forums on the Real State of the Union that first ran on, I believe, Jan. 13. I know you can view the Washington Journal video from the C-Span website, I'm not sure about the day long series of forums. But they rocked. Big time. They brought old line conservatives, moderates and liberals together. None of them supported George & Co's policies.

17. Well, I don't think you do hear......... |
|
our side any longer. Carville had some sort of "come to God" experience or something because he is fighting for us now. But there were a few months when he mumbled things under his breath that weren't all that good for us. And it is pathetic that we feel grateful and settle for these crumbs they send our way when they feel generous.
It's not just that. It's the constant screaming at one another as well. There is no debate anymore. There used to be debate but no longer. Maybe it's me.....I dunno. Maybe I'll be better after the caucus is over.:-)
