4. I'll tell you what is beyond the pale......what Bush, Rove and Cheney...
did to John McCain in South Carolina and then what they did to Joe Wilson and his wife. Cheney is a piece of shit in my book, and that is putting it nicely.

9. What's amazes me
is the fact that McCain is going to be in NH to stump for Chimpy. There were some pretty low and scummy things done and said about McCain in 2000 by Bush's henchmen. And it is especially amazing after he made fun of monkey boys sotu speech last night on The Daily Show. Go figure. Politicians are definately a breed onto themselves.

5. Fair and Balanced
"Of Dean's ranting concession speech, which has all but turned his campaign into a national joke . . . "

How far around the bend are the writers at NewsMax. Everytime you hear people complaining about how biased the liberal media is, point to News Max and say, and there is what your idea of a fair and balanced news source is?

7. The Dickster must only get Fox news in his bunker!
Too bad Cheney didn't see what CBS news has told us about Halliburton's handling of the War on Iraq!

8. He's not very rugged, and not much of an individualist since he relies
on the government for his millions.

10. To some, "Beyond the Pale" is a compliment....
A "pale" is a fence. Here's what the BBC has to say about the most famous Pale:

"There were many reasons for the decline of English royal power in Ireland in the fourteenth century. They included the impact of the Bruce invasion and the Black Death, which hit the Lordship hardest. English monarchs tended to drain the colony's resources in their campaigns against the Scots and north Welsh, and in the Hundred Years War in France. The Wars of the Roses gave kings few opportunities to recover lost ground in Ireland. To make matters worse, descendants of Norman conquerors had gone native, adopting Irish speech and customs, and severing their bonds with the Crown to become independent warlords. Only the ports and the territory around Dublin remained loyal to the Crown.

"The government in Dublin castle put up fortifications, dug trenches, gave grounds towards the building of castles, appointed guards to hold the bridges and assigned watchmen to light warning beacons when danger threatened. The area around Dublin extended from Dundalk, inland to Naas, and south to Bray, and became known as the Pale. Apart from Carrickfergus castle, the province of Ulster was beyond the Pale."

www.bbc.co.uk/history/timelines/ni/making_pale.shtml

Ulster is mentioned since this is from their "Northern Ireland" timeline. Most of the rest of Ireland was also "beyond the Pale".

Czarist Russia built another famous Pale, to keep the Jews inside. Generally, the Pale referred to in the figure of speech is the one that kept the wild Irish (& the gone-native Normans) OUT!

11. Cheney should consider himself very lucky that
that American people have no shame.

If they did, he'd probably not be here anymore. Or at least locked up in a dirty jail cell somewhere.

He's lucky he's still a free man.
