"old" europe was in doubt as was the un security council. he had a program 12 years ago that was totally off line by the time we invaded. he was a toothless dictator, his conventional weapons and army in shatters, 95% of all WMDs had been accounted for and destroyed with no evidence of the other 5%. gee-duh-b's premise was IMMINENT THREAT, which the rest of the world knew was a crock. all the UN wanted was 8 more weeks for the inspectors. if we would have allowed that no matter what would have happened after at least it would have been done with a TRUE coalition and UN backing, would have been nice about now, huh?? bet the 3rd ID would have preferred that route.

As for U.S. law - one would certainly have to search far and wide to find a more IMPEACHABLE crime than for a president to intentionally mislead the United States Congress and the American people into war, by lying about evidence regarding threats to our national security!!! As for a "war on terror," you might consider the fact that Iraq has never been linked to ANY terrorist act against the U.S.!!
