Condi lied her way through a long PBS Newshour show tonight!

It seemed she was on for the whole show, to me. Gwen Iffel (sp?) was the host filling in and I think she only interrupted her four times for mild questions.

Condi took the fall for the Niger Uranium insertion in the SOU. She said that she had "forgotten the memo about it from Tenant" saying to leave that part out and she said "a program had been put in place so that she wouldn't have to rely on her memory any longer when it came to important matters such as SOU speeches." (Can anyone believe that whopper?)

Then she went on and on as only she can do......tying 9/11 to Saddam and she even had the gall to say "they had biological weapons and everyone remembers the Anthrax attacks and what happened to our Senators and the people who died...." (That's almost a word for word quote of what she said!)

So, Condi comes on "Newhour" lying her little heart out, taking the fall for Bush, and weaving her spider web tying 9/11 and anthrax to Saddam and Iraq and no one questions her. She even brought up the "Aluminum tubes" and one of the only 'hard hitting" questions Iffel asked her was "But, haven't the aluminum tubes being used for nuclear divices been proved to be questionable?"
Condi's reply was to go off and running countering that "another agency had said that they definitely COULD have been used for nuclear capability..." .So, in effect, Condi pitted one nuclear examining group agains t he other and Iffel didn't come back at her.

I was hoping someone else would post this......but thought DU'ers needed to know about it.

The spin goes on and I'm going to contact PBS and tell them they've gotten their last dime from me.

It made me sick to my stomach how she could lie with suck a straight face.

She lied on MTP and she spent an hour lying tonight. And yes, the host smooched her butt for the whole interview.

We need to be out in the streets, just like the hippies were out in the streets during Nixon. I'm watching the Nixon impeachment on OPB right now. Weird how history repeats its self almost word for word and deed for deed.

I just happened to forget that little memo thingee that resoundingly debunked the very best of our pathethic justifications. Just done forgot it. Yup. Huh. Silly me.

Everyone remembers stuff like that, from sub-morons, through overrated mediocrities like her and all the way up to J. Robert Oppenheimer. Everyone remembers something that obvious, and everyone knows that they do.

(I hate absolutes, but this is ridiculous.)

The key is that everyone knows it. More and more people peel off with each successive lie.

I'm just shocked that they keep sending her out there. She was awful in the April '02 "Bush Knew" flap, quivering and misting up as she lied with desperate spindignation. When Bill Schneider gushed that she was so sincere and convincing I almost gagged.

Maybe these people are just as emotionally tone deaf as they seem, as typified by sending Junior to an Earth Day event dressed up like a lumberjack with a big ol' honkin' ax over his shoulder. (Chainsaws, presumably, were unavailable or just not butch enough for our Great Liter.)

This woman's ridiculous and her end will not come too soon.
