How responsible is Joe Average Freeper?
We spend a lot of time talking about the Bush administration and how corrupt they are. It's understandable that we do, because it's true. But what about Joe Freeper? The guy that, when you categorically prove that the administration is corrupt, either denies it or says so what?
I seem to keep running across people that actually SUPPORT what is going on. For example, I was listening to a talk radio station before the war started, and the subject was "Explain why you are a peacenik" (seriously, that's what the host was saying, and couldn't understand why people were offended. Lout.), and several people called in saying that what Bush was doing was the right thing to do, how he shouldn't let what US citizens think get in his way, that he should invade because he wants to and people that oppose it should get out of the US, etc. Try to explain your side to them, and you are not only wrong, you're evil...Apparently their dictionaries are printed in white and black, instead of black and white.
There's a lot of people on the right that think we should invade wherever and whenever is convenient, that somehow we have the right to take over the rest of the world. This is a big part of Coulter's world view (no wonder I hate that thing), and shows up a lot in the other Nazi wannabe propaganda. So, once the Dark Lord is out of the White House, what about the Joe Freepers? Don't they carry some of the blame for what's been going on?

2. They spent 8 years hating a President who created 20MM+ jobs
and took us from a $300BB+ deficit to a $400BB+ surplus. In spite of this, they took great pleasure in the character assasination and trumped up impeachment fiasco that their party put Clinton through.

They cheered when the RNC and their buddies on SCOTUS pulled a coup on the American people and assaulted our institution of Democracy to install a dimwitted neer-do-well whose selection was made because of his character flaws.

He lost the popular vote by 500,000 and only because the real RNC agenda was hidden from the American electorate.

Sadly, these people are so emotionally attached to their flawed choices they cannot admit that their "side" is destroying the very country and institutions that they claim to hold in such high regard. Their inability to confront the truth and admit that they totally have been duped and used by the criminal profiteers is really sad and pathetic.

8. When ABB wins this November
Remember what you are saying here. It would be awful if DUers turn into freepers. We need to watch ABB like a hawk and keep him in line doing what is right for the country.

3. I blame them entirely
Not only do they let this shit continue to happen, but they are proud of it and they attack us.

If they were just idiots and said "I support the president", maybe they wouldn't be at fault. But when they vehemently defend Bush and everything that he is doing, while calling us "anti-american" because we don't agree with it, that is entirely different. Those psychotics are absolutely responsible for what is happening, because they let it happen. In fact, they celebrate it.

Fuck em

4. Right, so what do we do about it?
We have Bush for the next 4 years, and the US becomes an aristocracy. If the right wing gets enough support, the 2 term limit ruling can be repealed, and god knows what else can happen...
We win in November, and the RW immediately goes into "Kill the Dem" mode like they did with Clinton. Eventually they get what they want.
And the ones that are making all this possible are the Freepers!
I think we need to take the battle to them, the individual Joe Freeper, not just the Bush Administration. Otherwise they will come right back and make things worse again, and eventually it won't be possible to make them better.
Maybe in some cases we shouldn't feel like we can swing over everyone with reason.

5. maybe the "grand experment" is over?
maybe it'll be time for another secession?

maybe the country will split right down the middle... physically.

because i for one will not be a citizen of an american aristocracy. they can take what they want, but when they take my right to vote and live in a democracy, i'll fight to the death for it.

/self-righteousness

6. Joe Freeper is an idiot
He is a fanatical opponent of abortion rights because it's "killing babies" but cheers when an errant American bomb or missile hits an Iraqi school filled with children.

He is very careful with his guns and wants to teach his kids to be careful with them, but supports a president who wants to see virtually all gun safety legislation weakened or repealed.

He loves to go hiking in the forests and mountains near his home, but he supports a president who is bought and paid for by the big polluters who destroy forests and mountains.

He thinks that the prosperity of the 1980's was all because of President Reagan, but thinks that President Clinton had absolutely nothing to do with the prosperity if the 1990's; he thinks that it's just a coincidence that both Bush presidencies have resulted in recession.

He wants "big government" out of his life while simultaneously calling for gays and lesbians to be imprisoned simply because they are gay or lesbian.

He works long and hard to pay for his own health insurance, but supports a president who is opposed to any kind of universal health insurance legislation.

He can barely afford to pay rent but supports a president who gives massive tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires so they can buy another Ferrari or yacht -- or maybe both.

He has a beloved dog but laughs at "loony" animal rights activists who seek to prevent the torture and mistreatment of animals.

He claims to want a good education for his kids while simultaneously supporting a party that wants public education weakened (note the Republicans fighting against science in Georgia) and ultimately destroyed.

He claims to like African-Americans (even knows a few at work), but supports a president who tacitly endorses the Confederate flag and who panders to the bigots at Bob Jones University.

He sees no problem in brainwashing his kids so that they'll believe the most violent, cruel, horrifying religious doctrines imaginable (e.g. non-fundamentalists will burn in Hell for eternity), but thinks that peaceful secular humanists like Albert Einstein, two-time Nobel Prize winner Linus Pauling, and Carl Sagan were immoral and the spawn of the Devil because they didn't believe in Jesus; he thinks that fanatical Muslims who interpret the Koran literally are insane but that fanatical Christians who interpret the Bible literally are good Americans.

He laughs at "pointy-headed" liberal professors who spend decades earning degrees, teaching, and writing books; Joe thinks that college dropout -- and drug addict -- Rush Limbaugh is the final authority on all things political.

He called for Bill Clinton's impeachment over a sex scandal, but thinks that it's no big deal that George W. Bush lied about why we went to war; he thinks that anyone who even suggests that Bush be impeached is a traitor who should move to France.

Etc.
