Is it time yet to start thinking about the House and Senate? |
|
There's no point in having a Democratic president if the Senate keeps sending him Freeper Bills to sign.

1. With new the new redistricting plan/ semi-bi-anual/ the house |

seems to be set to tip more right, however, we have an open Senate seat in IL, I feel very positive the Dems will pick this one up. We elected Democrats in almost all statewide races in '00.

2. Don't be so pessimistic |

In an election with coattails, which this one could have if Congress can't get a budget done, the very re-districting that looks so daunting now becomes a Dem advantage.
The GOP had to "thin" GOP districts down to 55% or so to squeeze those seats in, which makes them vulnerable if external events intervene.
