So how - and when - is bushco going to spend all that campaign dough |
|
he has been raising.
They are getting hit right and left and sinking fast ... the credibility gap is no longer only an international perception.
The hoped for bump from the SOTU never happened even his pundit pals were dishing on the drab delivery of a speech which reportedly dominated folks works for nearly a month in its preparation. But the public just didn't by the not so subtle switch to "weapons of mass destruction program related activities" language, among other items in the droning speech.
Is there a point - with no big PR push or regaining of the public conversation (which btw I think as always happened within about 5-10 days of each post 911 slippery patch such as the period of corporate implosions in spring 2002) - that the damage to the public perception of Bush is too deep and solidified for all that campaign dough to matter?
Or is there going to be a multi faceted push (push bush up... and any dem down) that will be so strong that we can't even fathom it? Will it work? There seems to be an increasing pool of disgruntled folks...
But they keep raising PILES of campaign cash.
So when do they start using it.
How do they use it... Not asking for themes they might use against particular dems (that would go to another forum) but in terms of general tone / general message/ modus operandi...
I waiver between confidence that the ravine in public perception is growing too deep and permanent to be bridged... to concern of the unknown and the mountain of money behind bushco that is growing and waiting to be used. Is there a point at which it won't buy much in terms of impact?

8. hehe - there is one thing that might give him some positive numbers |
|
set up a fund in his honor (not campaign so no giving limits) to "Pay Down the Debt"... raise a billion or so from his cronies and their corporations... and frame it as ... see these folks aren't just greedy basturds wanting to take tax payers dollars for their accounts... they gave a billion to the government to pay down the debt.
Then again that would be such a small fraction of the debt that even looking like a smarmy politicized robinhood wouldn't help him.

5. but is the damage going to be too deep |
|
for it even to matter? I can not imagine him carrying either of those states - regardless of the amounts of cash spent.

7. The Pub, and otherwise, contributors are saying, "Oh Oh" |
|
The fence sitters are looking "Good"
Things are not so Rosey after all.
Bush taking multiple hits big time. Much Mud is sticking.
Bush has but one choice to stem the tide.... He must come out fighting.
Will he be successful?
Will he "Blow it?"
The pressure is ON. He must perform well. Especially after the lackluster SOTU disaster where he appeared "Lost"
Rove and crew going ballistic, frantic. Bush unable to follow simple directions and advice. Keeps blowing it. Even after 3 years on the job, keeps fucking up. "Its Hopeless!" "How can he be so "Slow?"
The Pub minions, feeding off the Pub Teat, use delusion in coping with approaching Election results.

9. so much truth rings from those words |
|
is he going to 'break' in public? The couple of times when he has been under constant criticism (always outside the country - once in Europe, once in Central America) he has snapped out pathetically at the press - and looked awful... Losing that facade he keeps for his followers of folksy, driven (by some simplistic view of the world), but kind (blech).
We haven't seen him hold up for this prolonged of a period of growing negatives... I would hate to be hanging around the Oval office these days. Don't think shrub and Karl are in the best of moods - and both are known for their caustic and demeaning manner...

with slick as shit, heroic images of Mcfuckup in living color 30 second spots. "He's protecting babies, he's better than gay-loving anti-god liberals, he loves seniors, taxes are low, military is strong, support me and the country I own."

10. Corporate TV likes * and his $$ |
|
I think people are gonna become sick of * this, and * that, on their TV's this summer and fall.
That's all they have, is TV. Can't run on the record, it just plays the same tired refrain. So they will pose him every which way imaginable as ..... well, I haven't a clue what they can do to make him look good.
