3. I went to the poll, voted, and then wrote 'em a comment: |
Thank you for the poll - about how the Iraq invasion will be viewed by history. It's America at its absolute worst, and Bush has given our whole country (as well as our brave, hard-working military) a big black eye. As a peace activist, I support our troops - by objecting to sending them into combat for LIES, only to have their benefits and pay cut behind their backs by avaricious chickenhawks sitting safely back home. Indeed, for God and country, let's face the truth about George Bush. Even as horrible as it is.

8. It bothers me that this poll |
most likely reflects the attitudes of veterans. Here's hoping the AWOL story will get their attention.

9. A lot of them are turning against Bush |
The Legion's magazine every issue is running more and more stories about Bush cutting back on VA benefits. He'll not get nearly the number of votes from Vets that he did the first time. If the Republicans think they have the military vote in their pockets I think they might be in for a rude awakening. But yes, there are still way to many who are reflexively "my country, right or wrong". I really think that's changing though.
