Did Russell Simmons fire on * on TV?
I heard smewhere (Malloy?) that a CBS II "reporter" was bashing a prominent AA entrepeneur for promoting violence. And this person supposedly lit into the reporter, firing on Bush for promoting guns, starting a war, etc. Anyone see this?

2. 60 Minutes II last night; Charlie Rose
It was on in the background, so I am not clear on the specifics.

I did note one exchange where Russell Simmons said, in response to Rose's question about his association with gangstas: "What about this gangsta government?"

3. Yup , several broadsides
refered to the gangster administration at least twice, they tried to shut him up, he wouldn't shut. He started getting hot when they tried. He insisted on making his point, it was great.

4. Yes!
I saw the Russell Simmons interview. He was asked about the violence portrayed in hip-hop & rap, and doesn't he think this is a horrible subject to make popular? Simmons then fought back about how the government and the president promote violence every day. He was mad. I was proud. The interviewer did not have much response to this.
Sorry, this is from memory and not exactly what was said, but I took notice. I have a good deal of respect for Simmons.
