Riddle me this (warning, I peaked at the answer) ... |
|
Edited on Thu Feb-12-04 09:35 PM by DemoTex
Bu$h and Bath were suspended from flying at the same time by the same set of orders for the same reason, failure to accomplish required annual flight physical. Forget Bush for now. And let's not even consider the psychological effects on a high-flying fighter pilot like Bath, who surely bragged about it to all the young ladies who laid down beside this silver-tongued devil (my apologies to Kris), only to find himself - like Owen in Throw Mama from the Train: GROUNDED.
What did he do while his buddy Bush tooled of to Alerbamer? How did he pick up the shards of his life? What was next. How did he ever get laid again?
The answer is easy. One word in fact.

here that he was "on ice" at a place called Simmons Bottom(s) in Texas. I'm surprised that no one has thought of obtaining a copy of his record and compare it to the little shrubs. Anyway it's alledged that he went to work as some kind of liason between the BFEE and the Saudis.

Actually, the answer I am looking for - and either of two would do - is Poppy or CIA. IMHO the BFEE, Poppy, bought off Bath with a lifetime gig with the CIA and its nefarious dark-side (perfect for an egotistical fighter pilot) to protect the "boy." All else , with respect to Bath, derives from that.

is furious about their commander-in-chief.
And they are talking about the "grounded, did not take physical" thing...VEWY VEWY QUIETLY...because no one wants to get into trouble.
and yes, I saw it,I was the one who wondered if it was a punishable offense not to take the physical and to waste so many $$.

14. No, one must be careful. |

Fighter pilots are smart guys and gals. Can't fool them long. Especially if a fool asks them to "fly into the mouth of the cat of death," as we called it in the 'Nam.

17. Another dirty name connected to Bath in the late 60s, early 70s: du Pont |
|
One of the First Families of American fascism. The putative anti-New Deal putschists, the du Ponts.
In 1968 he was hired by Atlantic Aviation to open an office in Houston, and in 1970 he was promoted to Vice President. Atlantic Aviation is owned by the wealthiest du Pont, Edward.
From Pete Brewton's The Mafia, CIA & George Bush:
"When Bath was working for Atlantic, he negotiated a distributorship agreement with Israel Aircraft Industries. This company was founded by Adolf 'Al' Schwimmer, an American-born Israeli arms dealer and special advisor to then-Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres. Schwimmer, along with Yaacov Nimrodi (arms merchant and former Israeli Defense Attache to Teheran), Manucher Ghorbanifar, Amiram Nir and Adnan Khashoggi, began devising ways to gain the release of hostages held in Lebanon and open dialogue with Iran. Through this group came the TOW missile shipments in the fall of 1985 that coincided with Khashoggi's profits from Midland Savings."
You scratch Bath, you get a lot more than AWOL. There's arms deals, spooks, drugs, bin Laden, BCCI.

19. Interesting you should bring up that name: DuPont |
|
A DuPont heiress is a neighbor of mine. She and her husband (?) are almost total recluses on a 4-acre spread in a neighborhood of 1/4 acre lots. She is an attractive woman in her late 50s. I started off hating her, because of the DuPont connection. However, she - like me -has two mutts. We speak. She is shy and, I think, ashamed of the connection. She drives a Honda Accord. Just a regular neighbor. I like her now. I don't know her first name. She doesn't know mine. We know each others dogs' names.
