Something to sway voters away from Bush with
http://www.vancouver.indymedia.org/news/2004/01/105146.php

Based on info from there, the draft could be re-instated by Spring 2005.

How soon and it what way should we run with this?

1. Whisper campaign.
"I just can't trust him."

Pass it on.

2. It doesn't do any good when the projected nominee has
stated that he will expand the military in the first 100 days of his administration.

3. That is different
People probably wouldn't object to that. They WOULD object to a draft though.

4. That is not different
And I hold both parties to one standard.
PPI/PNAC--->DLC--->Kerry

Nobody is going to go into the military voluntarily these days.

A good example of what is happening is how soldiers are being offered re-enlistment bonuses during a recession and are still rejecting the military and getting out.

A draft is a draft anyway it is looked at.

5. So
You are going to tell people about what Kerry is doing while talking about Bush?

This HURTS Bush simply because most people equate the Draft to being a BAD THING. We CANNOT simply drop this.

6. I have every intention of crippling both parties and that's
because I view both of them as dishonest and slimy.

11. I recognize that
But at least ONE of them is fixable. And can be used to beat the one that is a greater threat.

13. that's not true either
a radical element that is anti-people, anti-worker, and anti-rights has entrenched itself.

It's like a person walking into a watery marsh and finding out that they have leeches all over their body. They have to LEAVE the marsh and then cut off the leeches, it doesn't help being in the marsh because more leeches are going to get attached.

9. Kerry will mend alliances with UN and form a truly international coalition
A la Wes Clark has been stumping during his campaign. This takes some pressure off the U.S. military and Kerry at the very worst will not seek to expand military operations into other countries like Syria, Iran, Jordan etc.. etc.. like the Neo-cons will. With Bush, a draft is all but guaranteed.

12. mend? UN? international coalition?
Their is a global recession going on, if you haven't noticed. They can't afford to send so much as a wooden nickel because they have no money. Foreign politicians won't send any troops because they fear losing their jobs. Congress has already condemned Syria and I see that as having hostile intentions.
