For all of us who opposed the war, the responses are heartbreaking. Many thanks to the eloquent statements in support of this family.

I just read a lot of those comments and the whole thing is unbelievable.
Edit: By that I mean, it's shocking to read what some of those people said and I'm glad that sane people spoke up and put them to shame.

3. Mine didn't make the cut...but I don't care... |
|
the main thing is to see the outpouring of love and sympathy for this family.
As for those morans that posted idiotic msg's of "fakeriotism", and di little to ease the pain of those that have been lost. I was reassured in the quality and dignity of the American people, as I read the msg's that called those heartless cretins to task.

6. I just thought of a new word for it: "Hatriotism." |
|
Rhymes with "patriotism," only, just, with hatred.

Man, those are some vicious, heartless people.

could fail to be with her in mind, in heart, in spirit.
How could any patriot consider spending a vote on a man who would spend our children's lives so needlessly, so heedlessly?

after reading that. Although my son is only 8, I can only imagine the devastation this mother is going through. I would be a total basket case, filled with misery and rage. War is so stupid.

9. compassionate conservatism... |
|
"I'm sorry your son died, but blaming Bush is immature. I hope you grow up out of your childlike attitude and join the human race. You son gave his life so that many other Americans, many who have yet to be born, might be one day closer to living in a country free from terrorist attacks. Don't belittle your son's death for some political purpose. It desecrates the Constitution, American flag and all for which this country stands."

send your sons to die for Halliburton. That'll make you free.
Bush is to blame for the deaths of thousands of innocent people. Thousands of them!!!
He led us to war on lies.
Did the Jesus in your avatar lie? Well maybe once or twice.
Did the Jesus in your avatar recommend following Caesar, a warlike Caesar that was intent upon destroying human beings because they had sonething he coveted ?
and who knows what the Jesus looked like anyhow. For all you know, Jesus had pimples and a beard that looked like the fuzz on a thirteen year old.
and I think recommending that our boys and girls give their lives for Halliburton and and an evil AWOL man who claims to be a real brave Commander in Chief because he stole an election and it suits his adolescent fantasy and whose wet dream is to be a Commander in Chief, even though he avoided combat, is cruel, barbaric and ineherently indecent.
This rich little boy never completed a task in his life--he never had to because he was always bailed out. That is the confidence of the priveledged elite--the entitlement clause in their life quest.
and he will not complete this one either. You better know it.
We will vote him and his fat assed, fat brained, fat lying, lazy frump out of our house.

I'm pretty sure he was mocking "compassionate conservatism" by quoting one of their letters.

I am glad you posted this. I don't think you realize how this story still bothers me. I am glad to see more sensible people responding and stating their embarrassment at the idiotic responses. I really do feel much better now.
Mine is in there, buried deep. It is right next to yours!

from www.mfso.org I sent them the story and hope they get in touch with her. Shes in horrific grief now, but as time goes by, she and her family can take their anger and put it into proactive work against the bU$h Cabal. I have to now, just to stay sane.

This was a coward who wanted to flex his muscels to the rest of the world, and play the great warrior at the expense that will end up being thousands of lives before this invasion is over. The fact that this invasion was perpetrated by lies and prutrid conduct on our supposed great leader, is a further wound that will never heal in the hundreds of mothers, fathers, children, brothers, and sisters hearts that have lost loved ones in Iraq.
