For my poli sci class, I was luck enough to be put on the save side of our E-Rate debate. I know why we should save it, fundamentally...but does anyone know any good articles?
FYI, the E-Rate program gives subsidies and discounts to bring the internet into urban schools.
And yes, * cut a lot from it.

http://www.usmayors.org/uscm/news/press_releases/documents/erate.htmLOTS of links to letters and speeches here: http://www.techlawjournal.com/agencies/slc/Default.htm(I work for a school district that would have very little technology without e-rate funding. WITH e-rate funding, we're able to have at least one networked computer per classroom, which is significantly more than many districts.)
