Can I have your opinion on recess appointments? |
|
It is my understanding that they stand until a new congress is elected.
Am I correct?
Were the Dems efforts to block *'s unfit judges all in vain?

But if the Dems had approved them, these creeps would be in for life. So, not really in vain.

2. A recess appointment lasts until the next session of Congress begins. |
|
The next session of Congress begins in January, 2005, so any recess appointments made by Bush end then. I have no particular problem with recess appointments, although I think Bush is making the judicial recess appointments solely for political purposes. But I do not think Bush will benefit since the voters who want these appointments made are all Night of the Broken Glass republicans anyway.
