It occurred to me that a lot of the people going to see the Passion will experience the vivid brutality so strongly that, especially if they come from an Xian background, they'll feel like ingrates for not having been sufficiently pious. There might be a fair number of them who worry themselves into a state of clinical depression over the whole experience. I'd guess that a couple of weeks after general release, there'll be at least a minor surge of admissions to psychiatric wards as a result of all this. I'll see the movie myself, after it's out on video. I sure as hell :evilgrin: don't want to go to a theater full of godbotherers wanting to "witness"

that way the "Passion Syndrome" would have lead to low voter turnout amoung shrub supporters.

I couldn't give a crud about the movie, but I really want to see The Passion of the Christ promo painted stock car detonate with raging plumes of flames and tumble end-over-end down the track.
