Question for Nader/Gore vote traders |
|
I understand the principle behind 'trading' votes, depending if you live in a blue or red state. There's something I've never understood about it, though: how do you know that the person you are 'trading' votes with actually voted for Gore? If it's the honor system, think about it; Repukes don't HAVE any honor, and I could see lots of them 'registering' to trade votes, then voting for chimp instead.
The only way to make sure that your vote is accurate (aside from repukes cheating and BBV) is to vote yourself. Otherwise you're leaving too much to chance.

It was some kind of informal registration, where Nader voters and Gore voters switched votes, 'pledging' to vote for the other.
