Any chance that Clark would run as an Independent? |
|
Edited on Fri Aug-01-03 08:38 PM by CMT
Since he said tonight, "I haven't declared that I'm a democrat, yet." I doubt he will run as a REpublican, and he could still jump in as a Democrat, but anybody think he could be an independent??
And assuming he did run as an Independent (like Ross Perot in '92 and '96) who do you think he would hurt more--Dumbya? or the Democratic nominee?
My feeling is that he would hurt * more by taking alot of white males especially in the south away from him. But on the other hand it might hurt dems more becuz now there is someone else for people who oppose Bush to choose from.
Your thoughts?

He said "I haven't declared that I'm a democrat YET", not "I haven't declared that I'm a democrat." The fact he added that qualifer says to me he coming into the race with a big D next to his name.

He's one of us through and through! If he feels he can't win the nomination, expect him to be out there campaigning hard for the Dem nominee.

Early on he said he believed in the two-party system. He's like the proverbial duck: he acts like a Democrat, talks like a Democrat, etc.
