1. The Pacifica program this afternoon opened my eyes |
|
Until now I believed what the press was reporting on the coup and that Aristide stepping down would be a good thing.
This is a disgrace. We are commiting mass murder in Haiti and very few people know what is really happening there. With Aristide gone, the majority of Haitians now have no hope for an economic recovery.

Everyone who complains about "the media" on this board should stop fricking complaining and tune into (and support) Pacifica and Democracy Now.
Of course, that would mean we'd have to stop complaining about mainstream media and actually support an existing alternative medium, and I know that's asking a lot of us so-called progressives.

randall robinson, maxine waters ,charlie rangel and others. INTERESTING and SO DIFFERENT from what you will hear on CNN, MSNBC, FOX etc..Although I saw Maxine Waters kicking ass on CNN earlier on this issue and yelling at that republican Foley asshole from FL who was touting the "official line".

8. Bush Inc. does not give a damn about democracy |
|
This example in Haiti (coming as is does among a long series of concerted anti-democratic efforts since the 2000 election), underscores this for me.
Yeah, I'm sure they'll comply with the will of the American people if we vote them out in November.

You don't think anything you hear from people who are actually on the scene is really proof of anything, do you???? Why don't you wait until those honest reporters at Fox tell us what is REALLY going on???

11. Yep, do not believe the fear in the voice of the reporter |
|
or the sounds of the helicopters in the background as Bush&Co supported "rebels" shoot at a Haiti Mayor's house killing two people inside.
Faux shows an outdated picture of Aristide happily deplaning so everything is okay.
