cause the family used to be repugs way back when. I was so dumb that I started out voting repug too, all of us eventually wised up though and became Democrats. :-)

Truman was a stubborn cold warrior. I give him credit for advancing civil rights and supporting labor. But his ferocious anti-Sovietism laid the groundwork for fascist McCarthyism. The Wallace platform was the best by far of all the candidates in 1948.
