do you really think these men will give up the white house in 04? |
|
THESE guys? are you kiddin'? these are not the type of men to have gone to all this trouble and caused all this chaos to change course just because of a silly fair election. these are not the type of men who accept defeat. witness election 2000. they are just now kicking off their monstrous plans for world domination, and the plan is working for them, they are not simply going to let it be interrupted by a democratic president for another 8 years like in 82. they seethed for every second of Clinton's term, and all they could do was get him impeached.
the word ruthless is not enough to describe the evil that drives these bastards. does anyone really think that they will allow an election to delay their merry little plans? i happen to think that they have some very interesting surprises in store for us in the coming months. our wills will be severely tested. these are not the type of men who can be reasoned with. not the kind of men who will surrender all this power. these are the kind of men who must be stopped. and the kind of men who will do ANYTHING to retain their deathgrip on our government.

In 2000, they had to keep it close enough for Florida fraud to allow them to steal it. (i.e., very close)
In 2004, that's no longer a concern. Diebold is now in enough states that they don't need to keep it nearly as close. They know they have about 30% of the population who would vote Republican if they nominated Satan himself. If they get 15-20% extra from voter fraud & electronic rigging, they're right in the swing of things.

2. They're one step ahead of the dems |
|
The Dems are trying to get their message straight, and the lying scum are trying to figure out how they can steal this election.
If it turns out to be a blow-out (Dem's favor) and the Repukes realize they can't possibly get away with fraud to such an extent that even the illiterate media won't turn the other way, then I really fear what they might do between November and January--start WWIII maybe?

12. An unprovoked invasion of a large Middle East nation... |
|
...by the United States of America in 2003 sounds like a reasonable place to mark the start of WWIII. If George Bush is still in the WH after 2004, it's a sure thing.

All of this leads to one very frightening scenario; the worst sort of meddling the world has ever seen.
The UN and such are still too namby-pamby to respond, but eventually they'll see they have no other choice if the US keeps up its self-destructiveness. There will be an intervention of some sort.
Assuming all of this isn't going to happen to such a vile extreme...

of intervention can the UN possibly do? Debate the White House to death? The UN is an absolutely useless organizayion as it is now constituted.

they will never give it up. They are finally getting close to their intended purpose. Drawing from another thread I read last night, these guys have been waiting and planning since Nixon at least to do this. The one good thing is that for a brief moment we cracked their armor. I don't think for one moment this country will stand for much more of this, even the Repubs will take to the streets if it gets much more out of hand. However, I just came in from the heat. I could be a bit delusional here.

come hell or high water, Bush will be reinstalled. I know that sounds pessimistic but I can't help it. I've always known what is going on.

I rant to my partner every damn day about the latest right wing outrage. He keeps telling me that there is no way in hell he will get reelected. I really wish I could believe that, but I don't. I saw one of the */Gore debates and was sure that no one would vote for this incompetent "moran", but boy was I wrong there!
I don't think there is enough people aware yet of what is really going on. They are NOT going to give up power easily. This is going to be a VERY nasty election.
I watched Bob Roberts on cable last night for the first time. Great movie. I kept getting chills at how prophetic it was. Made in '92, it might as well been made last week for how relevant it was. Downright eerie.

(I just posted this is the 'oncoming train' thread):The only ways Bush can retain office are:
1/ Win the election as the most popular candidate.
2/ Win the election by fraudulent means.
3/ Use his Emergency Powers.
The first is easy to counter.........decide on and support a candidate who's able to win.
The second .....well Bev and her BBV campaign are doing their utmost.
The third is where you come in. Congress has to limit those powers (and they are almost limitless)......the only way they'll do that is if there is a lot of noise about it.

living in FL and witnessing what happened, it's obvious these RW criminals decided to do whatever it took. the dems showed them their throat, and now the repooks see that they no longer have to play by the rules.

16. They should fear us as much as we fear them, but they don't |
|
Somewhere along the way, our side lost their will to fight and that has gotten us into a situation where the right wing politicians have no fear of the those to the left of them. Conversely, those politicians on the left seems to live in constant fear of those to the right of them.
With that dynamic in Washington, why wouldn't the right think they can take over the world?
I'm still not sure what can be done about this in the short term, but most of the current problem lies with our elected officials.

|
I almost don't want to give voice to this dread, but if, say, Dean emerges as the likely Democratic choice and his momentum builds, I'll genuinely fear for the man. Funny how the "lone nuts" who target American progressives are excellent marksmen, but those who target Republicans are lousy shots.

The only reason they gave up last time is because they were caught off guard.
