looking for letters from soldiers
I have spent a great deal of time tying to find sites where letters are published from soldiers and their accounts of whats taking place in Iraq or where ever---I have found sites such as Military families speak out, citizen soldiers, a Minute longer---etc. Most of these sites have letters written from the spouses and mothers to George Bush. Do they really expect answers????

I'm looking for more information provided first hand from military personal that have been there and observed first hand what is taking place-----there must be more then just a few letters which leak through once in a while....Most of the stuff you read is by correspondents and they don't spend much time there and are not there under the same circumstances....I need to find more and am sure others are interested in first hand accounts also....

2. Moore's are old, haven't been updated---
Ive read his site, doesn't have updated letters----I cant believe that out of 100,000 plus soldiers, there is just a trickle coming out...whats the worst Bush can do if you write, court marshal you.

from my stepson:

hey

i am fine, just a little tired. we got mortared this morning, but nobody was hurt. i didn't even realize it until the third one exploded, so we went to the prison and sat tight, but three was all they wanted to fire. only one landed in the prison, the others landed near the city outside the gate. they really need to stop doing that. it was no big deal, we all just scratched our heads thinking 'what the hell was that?' then came the realization after i heard fizzing overhead, then figured out that it wasn't some idiot trying to blow something up outside the gate.

honestly, the mortars were the main thing i was concerned about, and after this morning, they don't really bother me. i am never out in the open, so i have nothing to worry about. i wasn't even bothered by them.

anyways, i am fine, still no mail coming in. they say it takes no time at all to get to your side, but forever to get to me. go figure.

i love you
i am wearing my vest right now, so don't worry

A soldier back from Iraq discusses the war and the U.S. soldiers fighting that war, the suicides, and much more.
Interview by Daniel Redwood

Because members of the military are limited in their ability to speak out publicly, the soldier interviewed here must remain anonymous. A military medic who served in the Gulf War in the early 1990s, he is a member of the Reserves who was called up to serve in the current war in Iraq. His primary role is to deliver medical care to U.S. military personnel as well as Iraqis.

Vet and Military Dad Michael McPhearson Reports from Baghdad!

Well, I'm back from my second trip to Iraq (the first was in Gulf War I or, as I say, "the 1st ground campaign of the current war"), and this time I made it to Baghdad. I find that words cannot truly capture my experience, but I want to share my impressions and the messages that Iraqi people sent home with me.
