So When's Kerry going to start talking about how Bush...
Didn't do anything before 9/11 in an attempt to capture Binladen while Clinton spent the last 3 years of his administration doing just that? We REALLY need to start getting rid of this illusion that Bush is "protecting" our country.

1. Kerry has that area covered.

It will definitely be a topic for debate. Gary Hart has been on the Kerry team for a quite awhile. (Hart-Rudman report)

The legislation Kerry crafted to track down terror funding during the Clinton administration was NOT being enforced by BushInc.

Rand Beers is pretty well versed in Bush's negligence, too. He was so disgusted by Bush's lack of real efforts post 9-11 that he quit.

3. Kerry had better...
... start talking about the kind of country he envisions the U.S. becoming.

I understand the anger at the Bush administration, but I think Americans are desperate for a vision of what they can be.

We have been thought of as a caring and generous people in times past. I would like to see Kerry appeal to that part of America's "personality." Bush has encouraged fear, suspicion, death anxiety, inflexibility and a thirst for control and revenge. That's not who we are.

At some level, I don't care what Bush did or didn't do prior to 9/11. We had choices about how we responded to 9/11, and Bush's choices post-9/11have made us less than we should be. There were other choices, and hopefully there still are. I would like to hear Kerry's ideas about what sort of country we will be when Kerry is President.

4. Kerry
I kinda disagree. I think that Kerry is not going to inspire people a lot. He just doesn't have the charisma for it. My guy (Edwards) could pull it off, but I think Kerry is going to have to run a negative campaign. At least negative in the sense of point out where Bush* has led this country into a real mess.
